Arles - Les Baux de Provence

A day around two provecial cities. Visit of the Camargue's capital with its unique roman heritage in France and starting point of the road of Saint-Jack of Compostela. Arles is the city that strongly influenced several artists such as the famous painter Van Gogh which drew many pictures here.Our second step is the charming village of Baux de Provence, with its beautiful medieval and natural heritage.


PROGRAM:

Departure: 9 a.m


Morning : Seesighting of the Arles' center with visit of the amphitheatre and the roman theatre. Visit of the church and of the cloister Saint-Trophîme, which is a mandatory step of the road to Saint Jack of  Compostela. Leisure time downtown (saturday morning possibility to take a look to the provencial market)


Midday: Possibility to have lunch in a traditional restaurant which offers regional specialities such as sausages of Arles, provencial casserole and rice producted in Camargue. (menu about 15 euros) 


After lunch: Discovery of the medieval village of  Baux de Provence  (Stronghold + landscape). Leisure time.


Afternoon: drink offered : wine made in Provence and sausage of Arles.

Return: 6.30  p.m.
